Energy tax is a government-regulated component of your electricity and gas invoice. The applicable rates are determined annually in accordance with national legislation, depend on consumption volumes and connection type and are passed on transparently in your energy contract.

Code of Conduct Smart Meters

Grid Management
Grid management concerns the regulated framework governing the connection and transport of electricity and gas via the national grid. This includes the rights and obligations arising from the Connection and transport agreement, the applicable Grid Manager Rates (below), and the General conditions for Dutch grid managers.
The new market model applies to Dutch consumers and low volume users from 1 August 2013. This, among others, means that the energy supplier is responsible for establishing a Connection and Transportation Agreement. This agreement regulates the maintenance of the connection and transportation of energy.
