Fastned concludes CPPA with Scholt Energy and wind producer from Eemshaven

European fast-charging company Fastned is entering into a Corporate Power Purchase Agreement (CPPA) for wind energy from Eemshaven. The agreement was made with energy partner Scholt Energy and a local wind producer supported by Topwind. The electricity will be generated by a large wind turbine with a capacity of 4.65 MW. Thanks to this new agreement, in addition to previous solar CPPAs, Fastned can now provide its fast-charging stations with a stable and direct energy supply from renewable sources during much of the day.

Fastned closes agreement for renewable power from Eemshaven. Fastned buys the electricity from the wind turbine through Scholt Energy at a fixed price. This contributes to the policy of stable prices at its charging stations and also supports the development of renewable energy generation projects. From November 1, 2024, the wind turbine in Eemshaven will supply more than 15 million kWh per year directly to Fastned. The agreement has a 12-year term and will provide enough electricity to cover an estimated one billion kilometers of electric driving during this period.

This long-term agreement helps us maintain stable prices and enables project developers to realize new projects for more renewable energy in the Netherlands,"
